My life has felt like a winding rollercoaster lately. Hence the no blogging since 4th of July. I think the best thing to do is start with the latest and go backwards!!!! Here we go:
Saturday, August 8th:
Dan took Hannah, Ethan, & our nephews Jake & Tanner to the Bee's game. On the way home, they were in an accident that scared the liver out of me. At 10:38pm I got a phone call from a 435 phone number I did not recognize. It was Dan saying they were OK, but were in an accident. Immediately I freaked out..... He said that a car in front of him slowed down suddenly and instead of hitting that car he swerved to the side. They hit the gravel and spinned around facing traffic, then starting sliding into a ditch.....He thought they had stopped, then the truck rolled. As you can see by the pictures that the only place not smashed was the drivers side where Dan was sitting!!! The kids were very shaken up, but not even a scratch!!! Dan has cuts on his hands and knees where he tried to get out of the truck. It is truly a miracle that they are all ok!!!!! (Just to verify, they had taken Jake home before the accident, so he was home safe when this happened.)
It really seemed like a scene from a movie, where the mom runs, opened armed to her children and scoops them up, holds on for dear life and is so thankful that everyone is OK.
Thursday, August 6th:
I took Hannah into an ENT and he determined that she definately need her tonsils out. She has been spilling protein since the begining of June (she was in remission for a year) and today she started at 2000 (which is the highest our strips show). She has had a sore throat, ear ache, swollen glands and a bad cough for a while and with her spilling protein I knew something was going on. Her pediatrician said she has something called "Cryptic Tonsillitis" which is when your tonsils have these pockets and food gets caught in them then decays and makes little balls in them. It can be very painful and you have to get them out. (Check it out online it is gross) We are thinking the tonsils are the culprit for her kidneys being out of wack, so if we get them out it should help a ton!!!! The other problem is that her platelets are down again, so we have to wait until they go back up before any kind of surgery can be done. As of today, she is back on steriods and that will help with her kidneys and her platelets!!!!
Wednesday, August 5th:
Taylor, my oldest baby, turned 13 years old..... I am still in shock that I have a teenager. I am not old enough for this!!! She has been a teenager for years, but now it's official. Taylor, I love you so much and are so proud of who you are and who you are becoming!!!!
Tuesday, July 28th - August 1st:
Thomson Family Campout!!!!!! We had so much fun!!!! We went up to Pineview and enjoyed the lake, the beach, my family, and camping out!!!! The kids always have so much fun together and the adults are so happy to play games, talk, laugh, and just relax!!! We found that the gas station down the street had Farr's ice cream and Laura is still in heaven about their Licorice Icecream, and I am .00005 Indian in the Dippy Shitty tribe (according to Liz and Erin). (Kind of an inside joke, but worth mentioning!!) Thanks to Grandpa Hancock who drove their trailer up for me to use and to Tommy and all my brother-in-laws that were SO willing to help me. (Dan wasn't able to come up, due to Tuesday, July 21st. He did however surprise us and show up on Thursday)
Tuesday, July 21st
Dan had his gall bladder out after 2 months of agonizing pain!!! It has taken him 2 weeks to recover, but is now doing pretty good!! I am so happy to have him almost back to normal and I am so glad he is feeling better!!
I also was partly incharge of a wedding shower for one of the YW leaders in our ward. Thankfully Taylor & Brittany we able to take care of the things I hadn't gotten done. I missed the shower (We were at the hospital from 7:00 am until getting home at 7:30PM)
Saturday, July 11th:
I planned the extended Thomson Family Reunion. It actually turned out pretty good. We had enough food, people had fun, and all but one of my aunt's was able to come. It was so good to see my dad's brothers and sisters and some cousins that I haven't see for so long!!!
All in all this last month has been totally crazy. Starting today I am planning on smooth sailing through the rest of the month (hardy, har, har). Mother's day is coming up August 20th (school starts) and boy am I looking forward to 6 straight hours of the door bell not ringing every other minute and a quiet home for me and Kenny to enjoy.

Amen. So glad to hear and see that everyone is all right. Also so glad you took some photo's. Hannah is in our family prayers every day. Travis had the same toncill crap and has been fabulous since he had his out. Hopefully this will help Hannah to be continually feeling better. And as for mothers day for me, I think I am going to get a pedicure, a Routte 44 diet dr. pepper easy on the ice, and have a Large fry with fry sauce. I can hardly wait!!!!
Is everything ok with Dan?... having his surgery so close and everything. Are they going to replace your truck? I am so glad everything is ok! I hate driving past accidents! It makes it clear how quickly our lives can change!
