Hannah's 1st day of school!!

I can't believe it is finally here. We have been waiting for this day for 5 years now!! FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!!! This is a bitter sweet day for me. I have been so excited for Hannah to be able to go to school, but am so nervous about her going to school. Collecting all the extra germs that she doesn't need, not being as healthy as she should be and just plain missing my little fire cracker. She walked in, put her back pack on her hook (not to mention VERY VERY close to all the other kids'), and walked right in. She is So ready, but I am not sure if I am.. I guess I really don't get much of a choice. Good luck my baby girl!!

Dan's 36th Birthday

Wow, I am married to an old man!!! Happy Birthday Babe!!!

As you can see, Dan is still recovering from his yucky day at the hospital yesterday!!!!

Another scary moment in my CRAZY life...

It was a Tuesday morning and I was SO tired. Our family has had the horrible stomach flu and it was Dan's turn. Dan was up all night throwing up. Hence I was up also!! YEAH!! We woke up at 7:55 frantically. Ethan's car pool would be at our house any minute and we couldn't find his shoes. After screaming and hollering we agreed on crocs and I ended up running him to school late. By the time I got home, Dan was gone to work (he had some jobs he had to get done). Hannah & I got in the tub (Her and Kenny started a dance class today). We got a call at 8:59 am. It was Dan's dad saying he had collapsed at work and was being taken to the hospital. Surpisingly I was very calm, we got dressed and headed off to the new hospital in Murray. It wasn't until I got off the freeway until I started panicing. What if he wasn't going to be ok, what would I do???? When we went in to see him, his dad and Joe were with him. They had checked him for a heart attack and that was negative....to make a long day and a longer story short, he was VERY dehydrated. They pumped him full of 2 IV's of solutions, 1 more of an antacid, and 1 more of a anti-nasuea medicine. We were able to go home at about 4:00. We are all SO thankful that Dan is ok and feeling much better.

Makena Margaret's 3rd Birthday!!

My baby girl turned 3 today!!!! Wow, where has the time gone? What can I say about these last three years...Makena has grown into such a cute little girl. She is so funny, so sweet, and so perfect!! She gives me her dress to wipe my tears on when I cry at church. She makes me laugh when I am sad. She's tough enough to take care of herself, and she still wants to be my baby!! I love my little Kenny!!

Hannah's Surgery

Hannah got her tonsils out Monday morning!!!!
My mom and I took her in at 7:00 and were home by 10 am!!!!
Everything went GREAT!!!!
She starts kindergarten on the 27th so she has 9 days
left to heal...
We are keeping our fingers crossed that this has
been the culprit to her kidney problems and
that during the fall and winter cold seasons she
will make it through with no problems!!

AND THE HITS JUST KEEP ON COMING.....

You know how it is when you just can't take another thing and your life
seems to be spinning out of control. WELCOME TO MY LIFE!!!!!!!
Sometime last night my car was broken into. The only thing I had in there
was my purse!!!!! I had just cleaned everything out because my lease is up TOMORROW...
Taylor's old IPOD which was new to me and all my credit cards and info was taken.
I don't know which makes me madder...all my personal info. is gone and the thief has already tried charging on my cards or that my brand new dang cute purse is gone. I loved that purse!!
The funny thing about all of this is that I am a broke woman. I had no cash, not much room to charge on my accounts and my credits not that great, so the JOKES on them!!!!!
Stayed tuned to see what crazy thing will happen next in ...MY WONDERFUL LIFE!!!!

It's a MIRACLE!!!!

The scene of the MIRACLE... The Ambulance, police car,
fire truck and our truck on the side of the road.
The truck and ambulance!!

Needless to say this is Laura's and my new diet picture for

If you can't tell, we are The Village People!!!
Taylor blowing our her 13 birthday candles!!!

Happy Birthday to Tay!!!

The truck after it has been pulled over bu the tow truck.

Ethan, Kenny, and Hannah inside the Ambulance!!!

The truck as it had rolled off the freeway!!!

My life has felt like a winding rollercoaster lately. Hence the no blogging since 4th of July. I think the best thing to do is start with the latest and go backwards!!!! Here we go:

Saturday, August 8th:

Dan took Hannah, Ethan, & our nephews Jake & Tanner to the Bee's game. On the way home, they were in an accident that scared the liver out of me. At 10:38pm I got a phone call from a 435 phone number I did not recognize. It was Dan saying they were OK, but were in an accident. Immediately I freaked out..... He said that a car in front of him slowed down suddenly and instead of hitting that car he swerved to the side. They hit the gravel and spinned around facing traffic, then starting sliding into a ditch.....He thought they had stopped, then the truck rolled. As you can see by the pictures that the only place not smashed was the drivers side where Dan was sitting!!! The kids were very shaken up, but not even a scratch!!! Dan has cuts on his hands and knees where he tried to get out of the truck. It is truly a miracle that they are all ok!!!!! (Just to verify, they had taken Jake home before the accident, so he was home safe when this happened.)
It really seemed like a scene from a movie, where the mom runs, opened armed to her children and scoops them up, holds on for dear life and is so thankful that everyone is OK.

Thursday, August 6th:

I took Hannah into an ENT and he determined that she definately need her tonsils out. She has been spilling protein since the begining of June (she was in remission for a year) and today she started at 2000 (which is the highest our strips show). She has had a sore throat, ear ache, swollen glands and a bad cough for a while and with her spilling protein I knew something was going on. Her pediatrician said she has something called "Cryptic Tonsillitis" which is when your tonsils have these pockets and food gets caught in them then decays and makes little balls in them. It can be very painful and you have to get them out. (Check it out online it is gross) We are thinking the tonsils are the culprit for her kidneys being out of wack, so if we get them out it should help a ton!!!! The other problem is that her platelets are down again, so we have to wait until they go back up before any kind of surgery can be done. As of today, she is back on steriods and that will help with her kidneys and her platelets!!!!

Wednesday, August 5th:

Taylor, my oldest baby, turned 13 years old..... I am still in shock that I have a teenager. I am not old enough for this!!! She has been a teenager for years, but now it's official. Taylor, I love you so much and are so proud of who you are and who you are becoming!!!!

Tuesday, July 28th - August 1st:

Thomson Family Campout!!!!!! We had so much fun!!!! We went up to Pineview and enjoyed the lake, the beach, my family, and camping out!!!! The kids always have so much fun together and the adults are so happy to play games, talk, laugh, and just relax!!! We found that the gas station down the street had Farr's ice cream and Laura is still in heaven about their Licorice Icecream, and I am .00005 Indian in the Dippy Shitty tribe (according to Liz and Erin). (Kind of an inside joke, but worth mentioning!!) Thanks to Grandpa Hancock who drove their trailer up for me to use and to Tommy and all my brother-in-laws that were SO willing to help me. (Dan wasn't able to come up, due to Tuesday, July 21st. He did however surprise us and show up on Thursday)

Tuesday, July 21st

Dan had his gall bladder out after 2 months of agonizing pain!!! It has taken him 2 weeks to recover, but is now doing pretty good!! I am so happy to have him almost back to normal and I am so glad he is feeling better!!
I also was partly incharge of a wedding shower for one of the YW leaders in our ward. Thankfully Taylor & Brittany we able to take care of the things I hadn't gotten done. I missed the shower (We were at the hospital from 7:00 am until getting home at 7:30PM)

Saturday, July 11th:
I planned the extended Thomson Family Reunion. It actually turned out pretty good. We had enough food, people had fun, and all but one of my aunt's was able to come. It was so good to see my dad's brothers and sisters and some cousins that I haven't see for so long!!!

All in all this last month has been totally crazy. Starting today I am planning on smooth sailing through the rest of the month (hardy, har, har). Mother's day is coming up August 20th (school starts) and boy am I looking forward to 6 straight hours of the door bell not ringing every other minute and a quiet home for me and Kenny to enjoy.
